Bay Area Gluten Free Google Map
Bay Area Gluten Free Google Map (http://j.mp/sfgfree)
The map shows restaurants and other businesses related to the Bay Area gluten-free world. Each business has a pin on the map. If you click on the pin a box pops up that shows the contact information for the restaurant, the name of the person who entered the data and the date of the entry (or the name and date of the last person who modified the entry), and any comments entered about the restaurant.
Along the left side of the map is a scrolling list of entries. Since the list is long it paginates. View it in Google Earth to see the entire list in one view.
Although the majority of entries are restaurants, the map also has some grocery stores with gluten-free products, and entries for medical professionals may be added.
The map is “open collaboration,” which means that anyone can make an entry or modify the existing entries. If you want to add restaurants without entering the data yourself, recommend the restaurant on the “celiacbayarea” Yahoo Group and it will probably be added to the map by one of the map's frequent users.
